Reiki for animals
Reiki gives energy to the animal so that they can heal faster by working on the true cause of the problem. Reiki helps to heal physical by speeding up the healing process, elevating the symptoms of pain and helping the body regain its energy. Reiki helps balance out emotions by helping the animals to overcome their reactions so that their behaviours can change. Reiki helps to heal the spirit by bringing animals back into a condition of trust and connection.
Reiki helps to maintain their overall health, will enhance relaxation and promote a sense of peace and contentment. Reiki healing can be used alongside veterinary treatment as it does not in anyway interfere detrimentally with the treatment but can help to speed up the healing process.
All Animals will, including wild animals, intuitively recognize and appreciate Reiki's benefits. Animals often respond more quickly to Reiki than people do and positive results are usually seen in a relatively short period of time.
The first reiki treatment will include consultation and will last 90 minutes
30 - 45 minutes consultation time
45 - 60 minutes reiki healing time
The first treatment session with your animal will begin with the completion of a consultation form and discussion about specific problems.
A full Reiki healing session usually takes around 60 minutes.
What to expect from Animal Reiki Treatment Reiki usually begins a short distance away from the animal rather than with hands on contact. This helps to build up trust and gives the animal the opportunity to feel the energy. The animal decides how much Reiki they want.
Animals are more sensitive to Reiki healing energy than people and quickly understand its potential. During a healing session the animal may move closer to the Reiki Practitioner or may choose to lie away from them. It is their choice and wherever they are they will still receive the Reiki healing.
IMPORTANT LEGISLATION
It is very important that you obtain veterinary treatment for a sick animal and that you inform them that you wish to give them Reiki healing also. The paragraph below sets out the relevant legislation with regard to treating animals
The Veterinary Surgery Act of 1966 prohibits anyone, other than a qualified veterinary surgeon from treating animals, including diagnosis of ailments and giving advice on such diagnosis.
However the healing of animals by contact healing, by laying of hands or distant healing is legal. The Protection of Animals Act 1911 requires that if an animal clearly needs treatment from a veterinary surgeon the owner must obtain this. To give emergency First Aid to animals for the purpose of saving life or relieving pain is permissible under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 Schedule 3.
